On The People Versus the Rainbow Nation

/other’s Mia Pinder-Hussein joined artist Thulani Rachia for a discussion on architecture, space and power, as part of the 2019 edition of the Africa in Motion film festival. After a screening of The People Versus the Rainbow Nation, a film that goes behind the scenes of mass student movements in South Africa, such as #rhodesmustfall and #feesmustfall, they discussed how oppressive systems are more present than ever, in both spatial and economic terms, across a post-colonial globe.
